Interesting what-if -- we hired Mike Riley instead of Buddy Teevens. It's somewhat incomprehensible that anyone could compare resumes at the time and decide Teevens was better than Riley, but there you have it (unless Riley made demands that wouldn't fly with the administration -- financial, academic, or otherwise.)

Riley would probably have been a good fit culturally -- he strikes me as similar to Shaw -- but I wonder about the whole football thing. Any thoughts?
