I'm a legacy, my dad has a master's. I was actually born while he was getting it.
It's hard to be certain, but I think that made the difference for me getting in. (My grades weren't the best, but I had as many AP's as possible in my school and a great SAT score, and I did have a few weird achievements to my name, like winning the Rhode Island Chemistry Contest. It's obviously impossible to know, but comparing myself to my peers I definitely felt more like a bubble student.) Not sure how I feel about that, but it is what it is.
