I wasn't even a Stanford student and I remember that game! Back in high school, I picked Stanford to go pretty far in the tournament that year just because I thought Stanford was super cool. The kid who ran the pool made fun of my pick after I handed in the bracket, explaining that Siena's team had a deceptively bad record because the team had the measles and was back to full strength for the Tournament. Little did I know that would be my first taste of the bitter pill that can be Stanford MBB.
