The only good that came out of that Siena debacle for me was that 19 years later I wrote a piece about it for an on-line contest in which you were supposed to write about your strongest tournament memory. Even though I didn't win, my piece made the top four and I won a $400 prize -- which I used a week later to buy a plane ticket to San Antonio for the Final Four. Everything came full circle.
