Fast Break Club has now published a summary of the rules changes for WBB:

We got the 10 second backcourt rule, which I don't really like. The "closely guarded" five second rule has been extended out to being guarded within 6 feet rather than 3--which will be just about all the time. Both those changes favor the defense, which is just the wrong thing to be doing in WBB given the contraction in offense over the last 15 years.
The one I don't really understand is the new "restricted area" rule. Anyone have any insight into what this is any why the change? It sounds like this might be to cut back on charge calls?
