The fact that Saban flamed out with the Dolphins doesn't prove that he can't coach in the NFL. Pete Carroll flamed out with the Jets before later having success as an NFL head coach. Bill Belichick had a sub-.500 record with the Browns before becoming the most successful pro football coach of the last decade.
