While Stanford's depth isn't ideal, I'd categorize UCLA's as worse, both in the near-term and the future.
For 2012, Stanford has four scholarship QBs while UCLA only has three. That's a pretty big difference, I think.
In the future, if Hundley leaves for the 2013 NFL draft, they'll be forced to either play a grayshirt QB (Neuheisel) or a guy who just converted from WR his senior year of high school (Woulard.) (UCLA hasn't recruited a QB for 2014). Stanford, of course, will be bringing in Chryst if the Old Union gods are good.
So I like Stanford's overall QB situation much better than UCLA's.
