The place where Gaffney would be most interesting, IMHO: fullback. Not an Owen Marecic-style fullback, but more of a Stanley Havili-style fullback. We had a few sets last year that lined up Taylor and Gaffney in the same backfield and they worked well.

Ironically, most schools, including Notre Dame were recruiting Gaffney as a fullback.  We got him because we told him he could be a halfback.

Same with Toby Gerhart - USC wanted him as a fullback.
