They\'re either at your feet...or at your throat.
What\'s significant about this piece is for close to two decades Monty Poole has been eating at Kal\'s table as the football writer for the Oakland Tribune and now for the combined Merc/CoCo Times syndicate. Â When even your symbiote wants nothing to do with you, it\'s worth noting.
Of course, two things are off.  Monty Poole only did what a journalist with any vestigial conscience should:  bite the hand that feeds him under the theory  that the fact the world is round can be uttered if the timing is right.  It was right this weekend.   Second,  Poole is just wrong.  Tedford and Cal were worse shape the day he took over from Holmoe.  They couldn\'t even muster decent thugishness they were so discombobulated.  They are still dangerous and do the job of chopping down our mutual Pac-10 rivals.  Would be sweet to make them sit home, but with up to six bowls taking Pac-10 teams,  gotta figure they could parlay a win against Washington into the  Fresno Pecan Bowl or equivalent.
