I've half-joking posted predictions that Stanford would go to the Sugar Bowl this season, therefore completing its Tour De BCS prior to winning the Championship next year, but Mark Schlabach is at least agreeing with the first half of my predictions:

Brad Edwards puts us in the Rose Bowl based on Oregon playing in the BCS Championship. The Pac12 Blog (Ted Miller and Kevin Gemmell) agree.
In the scenario we win out except against Oregon and Oregon goes to the BCS, what are the chances that the Rose Bowl will choose a different team either in the Pac12 or from outside? We would be the only 10 game winner from the league, I think (UCLA would lose to Oregon twice or ASU/Arizona would lose to Oregon in the championship.) But would the game have an appetite for bringing diversity to the game, given our participation last year?
Personally, I would like to see the team in the Sugar Bowl, just because it does set up the possibility of a Tour de BCS capped by the first playoff championship and I guess I've given up on any semblance of "tradition" in the game.
