I've half-joking posted predictions that Stanford would go to the Sugar Bowl this season, therefore completing its Tour De BCS prior to winning the Championship next year, but Mark Schlabach is at least agreeing with the first half of my predictions:

...Personally, I would like to see the team in the Sugar Bowl, just because it does set up the possibility of a Tour de BCS capped by the first playoff championship and I guess I've given up on any semblance of "tradition" in the game.

I've been saying the same thing!  Personally I'd rather go to the Sugar Bowl for that reason.  The Rose Bowl is "been there, done that".  But above all else ANY EXCUSE TO VISIT NEW ORLEANS!

In the unlikely event of this happening, I'm volunteering BigEasyCard to organize the CARDboard meetup.  First round of Sazeracs on me.
