Playing Missouri, for example, may not be as big an opportunity to make a statement.
I watch a lot of Ohio St as I've been a fan as long as I can remember. Stanford would beat them handily. It's a flawed team. The two best players play a position where 99.999% of the time, only 1 guy gets to play. They lost a standout safety, a captain no less, to injury. Their super hyped shutdown corner is super overrated and blows a lot of plays. The front 7 are relatively inexperienced. The RBs are good but not nearly as good as OSU RBs have been. With the exception of their placekicker and maybe QB, I'd rather have the Stanford starter than his OSU counterpart. And I'm talking Guiton, not Braxton.
OSU is just the tallest midget this year. Beating the #1 or #2 SEC team would be much more impressive.
Now I know how much more I love Stanford than Ohio St. As of now, I'm cheering for Ohio St to lose. And I think either Penn St or Michigan can pull it off.
