My point here, is that Stanford would then have ended up in the top 4, 3 out of the last 4 years of the BCS. If only our Golden Era had happened 4 years later....or college football had been less obtuse by 4 years....we'd have been playing for national titles.

Or if playcalling had been different in recent history...!  Sigh :)
