Do you think Helf will institute some new rules regarding statements made by players.  They've really stuck their foot in it this season.

Here is Helfrich's statement after the loss today:

Thomas and Huff each expressed disappointment before the Arizona game about having to play for only the Rose Bowl — after Stanford's loss last week to USC — and not the national championship.

"Part of that was ignorance, part of that was out of context, part of that was guys, way it was phrased," Helfrich said. "It's not representative of how anybody feels. That was never any bit of ... wasn't a team-wide deal at all. we've dealt with that. That had nothing to do with this."

That is a weak response in my opinion.  They damn well said it and it had everything to do with getting ground into sausage today in Tucson.  Any team anywhere looking beyond the next game isn't mentally ready to play that game.
