2014 might not be better than 2013 even if the team is a lot better. The even years are tougher.
@Oregon, @Washington, @UCLA, @Notre Dame. Most pre-season top 10 teams would be thankful to get a 2-2 split. And a 2-2 split would mean that 2014 already can not be better than 2013.
However, the recruiting classes over the last 4 years have been so much better than most in Stanford's history, so I believe 1-3 loss type seasons could be in our 4-6 year future at least. And in most BCS conferences getting 9+ wins a year means the program is a CFB power.
