I don't know about you, but most of the time I call the play we're going to do next it works. I called Wilkerson's TD draw, for example. Felt like the right time to run a draw. Also one of the play action passes on 3rd (or maybe 2nd, I don't remember this as well) and short. Worked out great.
I was sort of annoyed by not taking a TO after the sack, but I know why he did it. I can't bring up another time where I was bothered by a playcall.
You want to see a bad playcall? Look at Michigan's play on the 2-point conversion. Three receivers run routes and there are FIVE DBs right there to cover them. I love those odds! I know that their QB was gimpy and that limited what they could do, but come on, that was just horrid. At least have some kind of option on the other side of the field to keep the defense guessing.
