With this new North/South thing, it is not clear to me where we want a mediocre coach like Sarkisian:Â SC or UW.Â
Having him at SC will certainly give us a good chance in the SC game each year, and probably ensure we're able to sign our fair share of Socal players who might otherwise consider a powerhouse SC program.Â
On the other hand, UW is in our direct path to the Rose Bowl every year. They have a new facility and a good history. I am fairly confident Oregon is going to decline, but a good UW coach could potentially build that program into our main North rival. Seattle is an easier sell than Eugene (in my opinion) and Washington also benefits from a few annual prospects in-state.Â
