In the Pac-12, each team doesn't play two conference teams. In the SEC, each team doesn't play five conference teams. For an average team in the SEC, this means avoiding two and a half superior teams. For the top teams in the SEC, this means replacing at least two teams with the potential to beat you with inferior teams. When you combine this with the practice of playing out of conference cupcakes, you have the recipe for the strongest conference in the country.
