Actually, I was wrong. Â It was a pure mental mistake by Mastroianni. She tried to turn a goal kick around quickly, as her defender was running forward out of the box on the right side. Â Mastroianni, trying to get the ball moving forward, sent a rolling ball forward inside her, and the defender, watching the ball, had her attention off the center of the field. Â Taylor, moving forward to pressure the ball, accelerated and cut inside her, taking the ball before the back ever touched it, and was in alone on Mastroianni. Â The keeper came out to try to cut down the angle, and Taylor, about even with the left post, turned her hips to square up and have the entire width of the goal as a target. Â Mastroianni didn\'t quite seal up the near post, and Taylor slotted it by her on the ground, just inside the left upright.
