Pretty intuitive:
1) After the Oregon State fumble he never got another offensive snap, suggesting a lack of trust.
2) With Chryst coming in, the QB depth chart was crowded anyway.
3) And regardless of whether Reynolds returns or not, the safety depth chart looks a bit thin.
So makes sense. Hopefully we recruit a premium 2015 QB with the open spot.
EDIT: in terms of aptitude, I remember Shaw remarking that Lloyd was the only QB to be "live" for contact during spring drills -- Lloyd insisted on it; he loved contact. Sounds like the basics of the right attitude.
