I have a slight feeling of dread.

It's funny, but I don't. I felt more dread about the ASU game. Not because I'm more confident, but having won the Rose Bowl last year and achieved repeat Pac12 champ status, another RB win would be the cherry on top for my psyche. I'm hoping the players aren't feeling this way...

I suspect that a lot of Stanford fans feel this way. I suspect the reason for this is that for the better part of a year, the primary objective is to reach the Rose Bowl. During this period there are a lot obstacles to overcome, and there is much uncertainty about the team and the opposition. Between the conference championship and the Rose bowl there is only three weeks to get psyched up. There is only one obstacle, and there is little unknown about the team and the opposition.
