Dang.  I wrote a rather long post only to apparently have timed out before I could actually post it.  I guess the lesson is to either write it off-line, or make a copy of it prior to posting.  I'll never be able to remember all the great insights I had!  :)

That has happened before to me several times.  Another possibility is to post a shorter post and then use "modify" to improve and expand, but that has its own risks.
