Anyway, when weighting 2012 vs. 2013 you have to consider 2012 was the bigger class, both in the literal sense (more players, duh) and in the figurative sense (good publicity for the program). And if you have to have an off class, better that it be a small one (meant literally).
The good thing here is that while the incoming players aren't world beaters, there's not any chaff as far as I can tell -- they haven't been reaching for guys in a panic, which is good.
However, it puts a lot of pressure in the coaching staff to deliver a high-quality class in 2014. Not a lot of margin for error; they could fall short even while doing a pretty good job (viewed in isolation.) So we'll see. I don't think there's a lot of reason to panic, to be honest.Â
