Now that his college career is over, is it fair to say that DAT's career was a disappointment compared to the (over)hype? Not that I'm not glad he's gone, but there seemed to be a large gap between potential and achievement, perhaps because of injury when he was to be the featured back.

His yards per carry and total receiving yards went down each year, and he never broke out as a game-breaking receiver or game-breaking running back (though he was and remains a game-breaking returner). I think it's the fact that he was only a bit-part player at two positions contributes to that impression of not living up to the hype. Plus as Stanford fans, we've seen him fail to be much of an influence in two key Oregon losses in the last two years.
