This one is about Andrew specifically, and I cannot imagine a better tribute:

Is there any doubt that he was a perfect fit for Stanford? I only met Andrew once; after the Sun Bowl season (his first as QB) Stanford put on a pancake breakfast for fans of the team [as an aside, a fabulous event that I wish they had resurrected]. My son and I happened to sit at Andrew's table (also there was Stepfan Taylor). All I can say is what an amazing kid. Confident but humble. Nice to a fault. That bit in the story about his "innate ability to make sure the person hes talking to, he has your total focus, and this is a meaningful conversation. That's dead on accurate. The only other person I knew like that, who could be a superstar yet made you feel like you were the amazing/important one was Kristin Folkl.

Quote:But what stands out about Luck, over and over, is the way he talks. Not how he sounds the deep rumble of his voice has always been more Andre the Giant than Andrew the Genius but the phrasing, which feels anything but forced. When arguing that the Colts dont want to fall behind only to catch up, he actually catches himself before finishing the phrase modus operandi. These are just glimpses of Luck's intelligence; he has been a voracious reader since childhood. But the uniqueness of Lucks mind has more to do with how it works than with what he has learned. Ask those familiar with Lucks pursuits away from football, and you hear stories about a restless thinker bent on whats next. In the NFL, the answer to that is easy. He is.
