I wonder, do fans of Michigan or Tennessee continue to post about the exploits of Brady and Manning in the NFL? I guess time and distance will lessen some of the interest by some fans, but I have a feeling I will follow Luck's career as closely throughout his entire NFL career. He's just so quintessentially Stanford: smart, quirky, nerdy and exceptional.
It would be too bad if he starts dumbing down his speech for NFL reporters/fans. He should keep it elevated and expect others to raise themselves to his standards. Let little Johnny from French Lick google "modus operandi" after reading it in a Luck quote. If Luck keeps talking about the strategy games he plays, the books he reads and the way he spends his free time, hopefully that will be a powerful influence for good.
