That was a done deal weeks ago (along with Stewart and Sacks not returning).  I'm not certain why the announcement was not made earlier.  I am guessing the timing has something to do with the annual AFCA convention that is held the second week of January.  Over 6,000 coaches (at all levels of the game) will be in attendance.  It will be interesting to see who CoachDykes hires.  If he screws up, he won't get a third chance.
