With the amount of ND players who are so eager to transfer or jump to the NFL in the last couple of years, one has to wonder if this knowledge is being used in our recruiting battles with them.

Serious question: What legitimate reasons can Notre Dame use to claim it is a better option than Stanford for football players? 

I can see two:

1. Winning tradition
2. Everything that goes along with being more popular - bigger fan base, stadium, more media coverage

But honestly, what else is there after that?  And more honestly, how are those two factors all that meaningful at a time when Stanford has the second most wins in CFB over the last four years?
