It's amazing how much better you can sleep from one week to the next!  USC's wailing is such soothing white noise.

- Love Sleazy Steve's gigantic poo face while giving his post-game press conference about how badly they were outplayed.  Of course, he has had a lot of practice with this, after having to give the same press-conference while at the helm with Washington, after Stanford ran for 446 yards on his team in 2011, and then gave up 777 total yards (482 rushing) and 67 points against Baylor later in a bowl game that year.  I think UW fans also slept well last night.
- Pat Haden probably received multiple texts from Steve during the game ("Daddy, please make them stop", "Wasn't that a chop block?", "I thought we get 100 plays a game, they're cheating!"), but was unable to come to the rescue under his self-imposed 2 game ban from the sidelines.  Fake remorse is punished by karma.
- This tweet I came across somehow makes this image better for me: https://twitter.com/BASportsGuy/status/5...4004521984.  I thought Haden was a Rhodes scholar, not a rode scholar.
- BC starting 5 grad students on the o-line reminds me of being a freshman and playing intramurals, and getting our asses kicked by a Biz school team that was not as fast, but was way better organized and outschemed the hell out of us.  Shaw's quotes about football being won by upperclassmen ring true here.  Here's to hoping our hogs continue to season to perfection (and even more to hoping that Andrus Peat wants to come back and sit in the smoker for 1 more year)
