Would the transfer have been possible, had he not been graduating? If not transferring under the graduate rule, I thought players had to sit out a year, although I've been hazy under what circumstances that can be waived.

It's good for him. Hopefully he can find the kind of success at St Mary's that has eluded him at Stanford. Anyone have a view on how good the Gaels will be next year? THey're 19-8 this year, which I assume won't get them in the NCAA.
