Nothing against Martin, but just looking at this purely from a business standpoint, I wouldn't trade more than a 5th or 6th for him, and I would try to see if I could get Miami to eat part of his contract, although relatively low since he is a rookie. Just looking at him on paper, he was looking like he would be demoted, abruptly left his team, and is in a position where everyone expects him to sue his team for hostile work environment. Hiring him would be analagous to hiring the VP who was underperforming, quit, and is about to sue his former company. Whether or not he is talented, whether or not Miami and Incognito were completely at fault, it is a risk that most teams do not have to take. Most of us would not take that risk in business, even if the VP were a Stanford grad.
