Since it looks like Dawkins job is now secure in the eyes of Muir, it would be nice to get a signature win that could also give a boost to recruiting.
Did I miss an announcement by Muir about Dawkins' future?

No, however it seemed that Muir wanted to keep Dawkins and indicated that the team needed to be a Pac-12 title contender and NCAA tournament participant. A quick look at the standings and Bracketology pages suggests that Stanford is meeting the minimum standards. If Dawkins was able to save his job in 2012-2013, then at this point I believe he is safe here in 2013-2014. The team is close enough to the tournament, that I WANT to believe the guys can finish strong and get into the tournament.
Clearly, the team could lose its last 5 (4 regular season, first round Pac-12) games and Dawkins could get fired, but I believe it is more likely that Dawkins will be the coach in 2014-2015 (at least as long as Muir is making the call).
