My first thought was - wow, the Canadian Brass are sure looking young there.

That was a 2012 recording, with new members outside of Charles Dallenbach, the Tuba player. He was the founder of the Candian Brass (with Gene Watts - trombone). Dallenbach is around 69 now, so about 67 in that video. Still going pretty strong.

Of course he used to be featured doing Flight of the Bumblebee himself on tuba - which is much harder than on trumpet.      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OO7sityUwE

Though my favorite virtuso/trick tuba performer was Roger Bobo, once upon a time of the LA Symphony now mostly retired I think. A video from Johnny Carson's tonight show inspired what was once upon a time my audition piece (only the first part).
