I think Stanford's recent football success is helping build more support locally. We know that ticket sales and attendance are up. Also, I have some anecdotal impressions about the level of local support, FWIW:

- It's easier for me to find casual fans to use my extra tickets.

- I feel that I see more Stanford gear (hats, shirts, etc.) at the grocery store, the hardware store, the coffee shop, the airport, and other public places in my part of the South Bay.

- I also feel that I see more Stanford gear when I travel to the east or abroad. I'm curious whether others have had the same impression.
