Strong tradition for men's basketball during the Monty years: students lining up and camping out for the best seats, memorable games with UCLA and Arizona, good times. However, outside of those peak years of Mad Dog, Brevin, Chris Hernandez, Josh Childress, pretty much nothing remarkable.
I vote for football.
Note that we do not approach the tradition of U$C, Alabama, or Florida State and even with continued success likely will not due to small (but nerdy) fan base.
