I wonder how much Stanford is getting paid for this.

Dunno, but for whatever reason soccer teams love coming to Stanford. It's played host to many preseason friendlies, has an annual game with the Earthquakes. Just last year Italian champs Juventus trained in Palo Alto.

The 59ers have taken their first friendly -- Real Madrid vs. Inter, I believe -- but it's nice we're so well thought of.
