I've eaten at Five Guys once or twice and while it's perfectly fine, I wouldn't make a priority of going back. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it's just that I could either invest less money/time and get a burger that's almost as good, or invest a bit more money/time and get a burger that's significantly better. In my mind it's like going to Chipotle: it makes sense if there are no other options at all, but since there always are, why go there?
I mean, there's clearly demand for the "fast casual" segment, but I don't understand it at all. Where they sit on the quality/speed/price axes seems like a local minimum to me, and you're better served going in either direction.
