The best Mexican food I've had so far (including some, but not a lot, in San Diego) is at Juan's in Berkeley. They're also right next to the Rare Barrel, a sour beer brewery that my buddy works out, so I'm there fairly frequently. Fortunately it's pretty far from the den of iniquity.
