Just last week a close friend asked me for a burger recommendation and I replied without hesitation, "Umami in Santa Monica". 
Unfortunately, we were in New Orleans at the time and he was looking for a lunch spot.

A few burgers really are worth twenty bucks.  I enjoyed my first Umami burger after the Rose Bowl pep rally earlier this year.  We passed another CardBoarder on the street shortly afterwards and I was too wrapped up in burger heaven to notice their shirt until Mrs. BEC pointed it out.
