Instead, I recommend Burger Joint at the Parker Meridien hotel in NYC.  It could be that I prefer fast food style burgers ie less meat.

That's interesting.  The best bowl of clam chowder I've ever had (and I love the stuff) was at Le Meridien in Boston.
