ESPN polled the Big 5 coaches, asking them if Big 5 schools should exclusively schedule Big 5 opponents. Shaw said yes and CoachDykes did not take a position. In the P12, 7 yes 1 no and 4 uncertain (AZ was the only no vote).Â
On this issue, Shaw is right on the mark. Dumping the San Jose's, Davis' and Sac State's of the world would be a real step forward for big time college football. Who wouldn't want to see quality match-ups every Saturday instead of the September snoozers to which we are currently subjected.
