The Pac 10(12) was much, much weaker in 2010. UCLA and UW had not yet emerged as contenders. USC was mired in mediocrity. ASU had Dennis Erickson, WSU couldn't beat anybody, and Arizona was in the downward trend of the Bob Stoops era.
The only teams that were better then compared to now are Cal and (IMO) Oregon. Mariota is far better then Darron Thomas, but the top to bottom talent level on the UO team (and presence of Chip Kelly) made them a much scarier opponent.
