Hulk is comparing the pre-season expectations and assessments of the team, I believe, rather than how they turned out. (Feel free to correct me here.) Ertz was not exactly well-known at the time, though perhaps insiders knew better (or claim they know better in retrospect.) At any rate, Ertz didn't play a brobdingnagian role on the 2010 team -- only 190 yards.

Speaking of which, here's an interesting broader question. The 2010 team featured probably the most balanced passing attack in recent Stanford history. Here's the yardage distribution:
WRs: 2026
TEs: 872
RBs: 466

Do you go over or under on each yardage total for the 2014 team? (I'll go OVER, a bit UNDER, and well UNDER.)
