Agreed, it's not like they looked really good to start (actually sort of came back). I don't think the result was that surprising, WSU demonstrated their defense and running game suck, but they can put up a lot of yards/points passing. That's not a recipe for winning any close games easily, and they will likely be a lower to middling quality team again. I don't see that changing while Leach is in charge.Â
I liked Wilners line regarding WSU from his Stanford game-by-game predictions today, "no team whose offense has Raid in the nickname and cant stop the run is going to hold up against Stanfords ground-and-pound approach."
