Actually lefty apparently this year they have a nominal limit on size of water bottles, 20 ounces IIRC. It seems like every year they have to implement something that makes getting water more and more annoying, it's really starting to get irritating.
Also, to be clear, these are sealed (or empty) store-bought plastic water bottles. Not nalgenes. Walking home last week I saw a giant nalgene graveyard so they do crack down on this. Although, if you want a way around it, just look for place where the fence has a decent-sized gap between the ground and stash your water bottle there, then grab it once you're inside. I did that for a game last year.
