Army has three really good running backs: Larry Dixon (174 yds against Buffalo), Terry Baggett (96 yards against Stanford last year) and Raymond Maples, a guy who impressed me with his play in 2012 (1200 yds rushing, 5.4 ypc) and is coming back from injury that wiped away his 2013 season.
Their new coach, Jeff Monken, beat Florida at Florida last year as HC of Georgia Southern, something I kinda think he'll mention a few times to the team this week.
But Army gave up 6.72 yards per play last year in 2012 and 6.5 yards per play last year, worse than just a few FBS teams, and they gave up 39 points to Buffalo last week (6.95 yards per play). The mismatch should be Stanford's offense against Army's defense, but, yeah, we all know that things don't always go as they should.
