I don't think that Condi would be given the position just as a cosmetic salve.  While she has no extensive business acumen of which I am aware, she nonetheless would be attractive to the owners due to whatever she conveys to them as her vision for the league and how she would move it toward that vision.  She is an accomplished leader with serious, in-depth understanding of football, its history and the challenges it currently faces.  She has stated that this would be her dream job and made that statement before getting involved in government.
