Note : IMO, the issue is not playing UCLA and SC every season (that was a good idea).  The issue is that UC and LSJU should have been placed in the South.  That would have negated the scheduling problem.  I still don't understand why Utan and Colorado were permitted to call the shots.  They were newcomers.  They should have been told where they were going....

I'm pretty sure UW, WSU, OU, and OSU had little interest in being in the North with Colorado and Utah and probably would not have voted to admit them if they would have been in the same division.  I still think the "zipper" divisions would have been better with one permanent game against the other division with your traditional rival (and new traditional rival for Colorado and Utah)
