Pointing to Brown's injury is just a lame excuse. Quality programs should be good enough to make the tourney, even if one good player gets injured. And Brown was not that much of a difference maker.

Pointing to any one thing is a lame excuse.  There is a six-year pattern here, and it will only go up or down as the talent level goes up or down.  I see a lot of potential on this roster, but very little quality game experience, which tells me we shouldn't expect better than about 7-11 in conference this season and an overall record around .500
