I know this is completely the wrong place to interject with football, but nonetheless I will note that while this is the common wisdom I think it is absolutely wrong.
Right now Hogan is not the weak link on the offense. I would put that #1 on the Oline and possibly #2 on the running back group.
The only reason Hogan even gets into the conversation on being the critical link to future success is that qb is the most important position on the field, so by default everybody's qb is a key to their future.
As an aside, the running backs are actually running the ball fairly well with a good average per carry, but are messing up on other aspects of the job. People like to complain about things like pass protection or blocking being a criterion for running backs to play - but then we lose multiple touchdowns on chop-block calls and find our sack rates going way up.
